Working across painting, sculpture, and writing, Qiu examines the tension between obscuring and divulging secrets. She reseals what is inherently revealed by explicit imagery through abstracting form or muting legible depiction, while leaving room for an unease that accompanies public witnessing of material deemed private or socially forbidden.
